Who is Mike Merz?

When asked why he became a successful internet marketer, online guru Mike Merz replies, “I’ve always enjoyed helping others succeed, and the Internet has allowed me to provide answers to thousands seeking advice in the field.” This sums up the forty-two year old’s philosophy toward marketing. This is also the reason that Merz draws such a diverse crowd.

Merz worked in retail marketing for over twenty years before beginning online marketing. He launched his own site, Internet Marketing for Newbies, in 1998 to help other online businesses succeed.  Askme.com ranked Merz as one of their top five Internet marketing experts out of a pool of 470.

His main site focuses on the basics of internet marketing. Merz teaches new businesses the simple steps of establishing a product, providing a storefront, and developing customers. He shows how internet marketing is the same as traditional marketing. His advice enables business owners to learn effective internet communication to keep customers returning.

Besides his websites, Merz also sends out newsletters to his subscribers. His newsletters contain more advanced marketing techniques for those looking to move beyond the basics. He also keeps a blog updated where he gives advice and hosts discussions on marketing topics. He’s also willing to tell a joke or two in one of his online forums.

Merz is now one of the featured writers for Direct E-mail Company’s e-zine. The DEMC is the foremost authority of affiliate marketing. His articles for DEMC have included “The Future of E-mail Marketing” and “How to Archive for More Sales.” Besides his articles, Merz also interviews other marketing experts for the e-zine.

Hello Mike Merz, I was given your contact information from a mutual friend, Alice McHugh, she speaks very highly of you and has said that you are the go to guy for info on starting an online business. I am not that computer savvy ,but have recently purchased Anthony Morrison’s program on affiliate marketing, I am still going through the material and have to admit that it is a bit difficult for me to understand, but I am working at it. I am also curious to know about, after stumbling across a program regarding Snipering by George Brown, does it work and is it as easy as it says itis to set up and create a site. Can you give me your insite on what is working in today’s market for a newbee like myself without a whole lot of computer skills.
Thank You Glenn R.
